When Bill Belichick was hired by North Carolina, one of the interesting aspects of his arrival was the question of his ability to recruit top high school talent. It would be exciting to see one of the greatest NFL coaches ever go toe-to-toe against collegiate powerhouses like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Oregon. After a recent in-home visit, Belichick looks ready to get into the ring for 2026 quarterback Jared Curtis.

The five-star from Tennessee had been committed to Georgia for almost seven months before reopening his process back in October. However, Curtis is still considering the Bulldogs, along with Alabama, Oregon, South Carolina, Auburn and South Carolina as part of a top six he released earlier this month.

One school that was missing from his list is North Carolina. But this is where hiring someone of Coach Belichick’s status comes into play. Curtis had already scheduled three official visits, Oregon from June 6-8, Georgia from June 13-15 and South Carolina from June 20-22, but after Coach Belichick’s home visit you can now add Chapel Hill to his schedule.
