Kaveion Keys Decision Coming, Chimdy Onoh, and Cory Huff Jr. Decommit, and Other Names in the News
Names in the News
–3-star CB Jeremiah Collins, Oakland High School, Murfreesboro, Tennessee (#611 nationally, #40 athlete, and #19 in TN.)
Three-star Tennessee cornerback Jeremiah Collins announced his top four schools on Wednesday. They are the Louisville Cardinals, Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Virginia Tech Hokies. Collins had committed to the Cardinals in January before backing off his pledge and re-opening his recruitment on June 29. At that time, he chose the Cardinals over the Hokies, Illinois Fighting Illini, Kentucky Wildcats, Purdue Boilermakers, and West Virginia Mountaineers. Collins is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, but transferred to Oakland High School earlier this year. When he committed to the Cardinals in January, he said,
"Louisville has always been my favorite team growing up, and the thought of being a hometown hero was a blessing from the start."
I like the Cardinals here, and he will commit to them again.
–3-star S Cory Huff Jr., Aldine Nimitz High School, Houston, Texas (#628 nationally, #58 safety, and #102 in TX.)
Three-star Texas safety Cory Huff Jr. decommitted from the Baylor Bears on Thursday afternoon. He had been committed to them since January 9 before backing off his pledge. When he committed, he had offers from the Colorado Buffaloes, Navy Midshipmen, Northern Iowa Panthers, SMU Mustangs, and UTSA Roadrunners. I would keep an eye on the Mustangs and Roadrunners here.

–4-star LB Kaveion Keys, Varina High School, Richmond, Virginia (#278 nationally, #21 linebacker, and #4 in VA.)
Four-star linebacker Kaveion Keys will make his decision on Friday, December at 8:30 a.m. E.T. He backed off his pledge from the North Carolina Tar Heels last week after being committed to them since August 29. Keys chose the Tar Heels over the Florida Gators, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Texas A&M Aggies. Now, however, the Nittany Lions are the favorite, and the On3 RPM has them with a 97.1% chance of landing him. So the Penn State Nittany Lions are the team here.
–4-star OT Chimdy Onoh, Dundalk High School, Dundalk, Maryland (#335 nationally, #28 offensive tackle, and #8 in MD.)
Chimdy Ohoh, a four-star offensive tackle from Maryland, decommitted from the Old Dominion Monarchs on Thursday. He had been committed to them since September 1 before backing off his pledge. Since September, he has received offers from the Ole Miss Rebels, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and Syracuse Orange. However, Rutgers is the favorite. Head coach Greg Schiano, defensive line coach Marquise Watson, and coach Scott Valone made an in-home visit to him on Monday night. And now Onoh will be at Rutgers this weekend for an official visit with the Scarlet Knights, and they are favorites to land him. I like Rutgers here, too, and he would be a great addition to their class which is currently ranked #50 overall.
–3-star OT Drew Perez, Southlake Carroll High School. Southlake, Texas (#1206 nationally, #101 offensive tackle, and #203 in TX.)
Drew Perez, from the Texas High School Football powerhouse Southlake Carroll, decommitted from the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday. He had been committed to the Buffaloes since June 23 before backing off his pledge. However, Perez was reoffered by the Buffaloes when Deion Sanders took over as head coach. Despite his decommitment, Perez has offers from the Charlotte 49ers, Fordham Rams, Nevada Wolfpack, San Diego State Aztecs, and Tulane Green Wave.
