Who is Luke Brown?

Luke Brown is a 4-star 6’6″, 300 offensive lineman from Paris, TN. He projects to play at tackle for the Razorbacks but could end up in the interior. Brown holds offers from a multitude of programs including Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida State among others.

Roster Numbers at the Position

Arkansas has plenty of bodies at all positions on the offensive line, which is great for Brown as he is seen as a player who needs a few years in a college strength and conditioning program to develop. So he won’t be asked to be thrown into the fire before he is ready to. However, if right tackle does end up being his position, the two-deep there is a senior and junior in Dalton Wagner and Ty’Kieast Crawford, so he could get a chance to play as a redshirt sophomore.

Player Comparison

Luke is athletic and also plays basketball for high school Henry County, 4A in Tennessee. His build and blocking style is like former All SEC Guard Braden Smith from Auburn, who is a current starter for the Indianapolis Colts. Pittman will get the most out of this young man, so he has a chance to reach a pretty high ceiling.

The Sam Pittman effect

If there is one thing Arkansas Head Coach Sam Pittman is an expert on its offensive line play. He was once considered the best line coach in the nation while developing many NFL prospects for Georgia. At Arkansas, his culture is based on effort and physicality. The team reflects his personality which starts up front. Because of Pittman’s resume, he can recruit linemen from anywhere in the country. Simply put, Pittman gets lineman into the league. This time, he went into the Volunteer state and stole a good one from under SEC foe Tennessee’s nose.
