2024 recruiting continues to heat up. Here are the most important RB commitments so far, in my humble opinion.

1. Quinton Martin

Penn State

— PSU has been killing it at RB in recent years, and landing the best player in the WPIAL to keep that going is massive. They are in the mix for the best recent RB tradition.

Belle Vernon Area’s Quinton Martin runs against Aliquippa in the WPIAL Class 4A championship game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

2. Jerrick Gibson

Texas

The Longhorns led for the top five RB for a long time and once again close on a Southeast back sending a message as they enter the SEC.

3. Kameron Davis

Florida State

— An elite RB from Georgia that the Bulldogs wanted badly is always a big deal and an example of how well Mike Norvell is recruiting.

4. Jordan Marshall

Michigan

— a win over Ohio State in Ohio is always a big deal and speaks to the RB recruiting and development of late in Ann Arbor.

Moeller running back Jordan Marshall (24) carries the ball during a playoff game between Mason and Moeller high schools Friday, Nov. 11, 2022.

5. Davion Gause

North Carolina

— A south Florida commit wanted by all the big boys in-state and in the Southeast is a big deal for Mack Brown and company.

Chaminade-Madonna’s Davion Gause (7) runs the ball down the field. Chaminade-Madonna shutout Berkeley Prep 21-0 to claim the 3A State Championship title at Gene Cox Stadium on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021.

6. Aneyas Williams

Notre Dame

— One of the top all-purpose backs in the country from Missouri, the commit of Williams is a flex for Notre Dame in the Midwest.

Sep 3, 2022; Columbus, Ohio, USA; RB Aneyas Williams (2024) before the NCAA football game between Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Ohio Stadium.

7. Jordan Lyle

Ohio State

— The Buckeyes continue to show they can recruit nationally and do very well in Florida. Lyle is a great example of this.

Jordan Lyle runs in a touchdown for St. Thomas Aquinas during their game against Fort Myers on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022, in Fort Myers.

8. Kevin Riley

Miami

— Mario Cristobal continues to dominate the recruiting trail, and heading into Alabama for an elite back could lead to more success there.

Sep 8, 2022; Northport, AL, USA; Tuscaloosa County High’s running back Kevin Riley (6) runs the ball against Hewitt-Trussville at Tuscaloosa County High School Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.

9. Chauncey Bowens

Georgia

— Let’s not overlook the Dawgs, even though we expect amazing running back recruiting. Bowens is a nice get from Florida.

Benjamin High School s running back Chauncey Bowens (4) runs the ball against John Carroll Catholic in a high school football game on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 at Benjamin High School in Palm Beach. John Carroll won 24-21.

10. Stacy Gage

UCF

— Headed to the Big 12, a recruiting bump is expected, and Gage is a great in-state keep.
