This article covers the standouts from the Miami Battle 7v7 tournament and the latest rumblings on their recruitments.

Starting it off with a Florida talent who caught many people’s eyes, 2024 four-Star LB/S Zaquan Patterson (Hollywood, FL) is a highly touted prospect. Patterson has a list of three schools at the top of his list those being Georgia, Miami FL, and Ohio State. I personally see all three of these schools having the chance to land a commitment from Patterson. It would not shock me if he picked any of these. Plenty of time in this recruitment and no defined leader.

2024 LB/S Zaquan Patterson.

Moving on to a blue-chip star, 2024 four-star WR Mazeo Bennett (Greenville, SC) has a bunch of schools on his radar. Mazeo was at one point committed to Tennessee but that didn’t last long. The main schools to watch in this recruitment are obviously South Carolina, Florida State, and Miami, and a new face to the mix is Alabama. The clear leader here are the South Carolina Gamecocks and I don’t see them losing this one at this moment. Later on down the road, it would not shock me if Miami and Florida State, and even Alabama make this a race for the Gamecocks. Two other schools that are slowly getting into the mix are Michigan State and Stanford. But I’d like to mention, Clemson will be a factor in this one, once they offer it can get really interesting, but for now, I have South Carolina landing Mazeo.

Moving on to 2024 four-star CB Zabien Brown (Santa Ana, CA) has recently become a name a bunch of top programs has started to be in pursuit of the talented corner. He recently visited Oregon and up next is a visit to Alabama, which he is planning and looking forward to. It’s also been said that Miami will be a team to watch in this recruitment. He isn’t deciding anytime, but I’d watch Miami in this one.

A huge prospect in the 2024 Class is five-star WR/DB JoJo Trader (Hollywood, FL) has a top five but it is mainly between two at this point. Miami is appearing as the school to beat in this recruitment right now, there is a belief he is just too comfortable in Florida, plus his love for Mario Cristobal and the Miami staff is through the roofs. But don’t count out the Buckeyes in this one, there is plenty amount of time and Trader has a high interest in the Buckeyes as well. It wouldn’t shock me if he picks either but time will tell in this one.

Lastly, a commitment is around the corner for 2024 five-star CB Ellis Robinson IV, and it seems like he will be heading to Georgia. He is set to commit on February 1st and the schools he will decide between are Georgia, LSU, Colorado, Alabama, and Miami. It seems like Georgia will lock up another commitment in the secondary with Ellis. Robinson has been to Georgia plenty of times and it would shock me if he doesn’t pick the Dawgs on the 1st.
