Chestnut Hill has high hopes for new Head Coach Bill O’Brien, who comes in with college and NFL head coaching experience. O’Brien hopes his resume will help bring in and develop recruits to push Boston College to the top of the ACC – and it starts with the 2025 recruiting class.
Nolan James
Wayne, NJ (DePaul Catholic)
#792 NAT, #59 ATH, #27 NJ
At 5’11” and 200 pounds, Nolan James is quick, agile and sturdy. His skillset should position him to be the best Boston College running back since AJ Dillon, and he could make an impact soon since the Eagles lost multiple running backs to the transfer portal.
Over his three-year high school career thus far, James has posted 19 rushing touchdowns, seven receiving touchdowns, 780 receiving yards, and 2,197 rushing yards. 1,415 of those yards came in his junior season. James has shown improvement over his high school career and Boston College is hoping he can make an impact early in his collegiate career.
James had over ten offers and chose the Eagles over schools like UMASS, Minnesota, and Duke.

Micah Amedee
Westwood, MA (Xaverian Brothers)
#1053 NAT, #100 DL, #7 MA
Measuring 6’3” and 275 pounds, Micah Amedee uses his stature to beat the offensive line quickly. Amedee holds an MIAA Division I state championship, a 5.1 40-yard dash, a 285-pound bench press, and a 425-pound squat, all noticeable in his play on the field.

While he’s not the fastest or most powerful defensive lineman, he possesses a nice swim move to get off the block. He is a prototypical run stopper, as he is quick to fill the gap and can use his strength to drive runners backward.
Amedee committed to Bill O’Brien and the Eagles shortly after he was offered. He chose Boston College over schools like Syracuse, Buffalo, and Army.

Griffin Collins
Worcester, MA (Worcester Academy)
#741 NAT, #38 TE, #2 MA
With TEs Kamari Morris and Jeremiah Franklin nearing the end of their collegiate careers, with Morris being in his grad year and Franklin entering his Junior year, Griffin Collins hopes to fill the need of tight end for Boston College.
Through seven games in his junior year, Collins posted six catches for 122 yards with a 20.3-yard average. Coach O’Brien and Boston College will want to see Collins take a big jump to make a quick impact, and the 6’2” TE has the size to be a weapon in the ACC.
Collins did not have many offers but committed to the Eagles over Syracuse.
