Every year hundreds of high school quarterbacks receive college offers to play at the next level. The SEC is known as the best conference in college football, and pulling the top recruits to the south has become a yearly tradition for the top conference schools. During the 2023 cycle, twelve quarterbacks accepted scholarship offers to SEC schools. In this article, the twelve signal callers will be ranked based on their future impact and skills. 7. Malachi Singleton – Arkansas

First, in part two, is Arkansas Freshman Malachi Singleton. Malachi is from North Cobb high school in Georgia and was the 17th-ranked QB in 2023. Singleton enters a QB room where incumbent starter KJ Jefferson is expected to play his final college season this year. While Singleton has the power to start next season, he is also viewed as a player who could change positions given his athletic build. Due to this, he slots in at #7 on this list but has the highest ceiling out of any quarterback in part two.

8. Gabarri Johnson – Missouri
Gabarri Johnson slots in at #8. The Washington State signal-caller ranked 22nd in the 2023 class. Gabarri has a willingness to carry his team on his back and make plays with his legs and his arm. He is low on this list due to the multiple decent quarterbacks in the Missouri QB room. Sam Horn committed to Missouri two years ago, and like Gabarri, he was also a four-star. Sam has yet to start his Missouri career, and due to this, I believe he would get the job before Gabarri, giving him fewer chances to impact the Missouri offense.

9. LaNorris Sellers – South Carolina

More Sports News
LaNorris Sellers ranks 9th on the list. Sellers hails from South Florence and originally committed to Syracuse before flipping to the hometown Gamecocks in December. Sellers has Luke Doty and Tanner Bailey ahead of him on the roster, not to mention Spencer Rattler starting this upcoming season. LaNorris is talented and showed out in his senior season, launching over 40 touchdowns and only two interceptions. While LaNorris is a promising QB who can be successful in college, the depth in the QB room hurts LaNorris. Being a three-star also hurts him as the Gamecocks landed 2024 four-star Dante Reno, which will make the QB depth deeper.

10. Hank Brown – Auburn

Hank Brown is my favorite 2023 quarterback despite having committed to my least favorite college. Hank is from Wheaton, Illinois, but attended Lipscomb Academy in Tennessee and originally committed to Hugh Freeze and Liberty before following his coach to Auburn. Brown ranked as the 53rd QB in the 2023 class and a mid-three star. Robby Ashford is the expected starter this season, and Holden Geriner is most likely to start next season, leaving a few opportunities for Hank to become the starter at Auburn. As of now, the Tigers will bring in prolific 2024 signal caller Walker Howard which lowers his slim chances to start. Due to this, Hank slides in at tenth.

11. Brennan Storer – Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt landed Brennan Storer to add to an above-average recruiting class for Clark Lea. Storer ranked as the 97th QB in 2023 and hailed from Dallas. I like Brennan, and while he can start for Vanderbilt, he has to pass expected starter AJ Swann who exploded for the Commodores in a disappointing 2022 season.

12. Vic Sutton – Mississippi State

The last up in the SEC is Vic Sutton. Vic ranked 93rd at the QB position in 2023 and ranked higher than Brennan Storer. Vic hailed from Madison Central High School and committed to the instate Bulldogs in January. With Will Rogers starting this season and four-star Chris Parson also entering as a freshman this season, it becomes very hard for Vic to make an impact this season, and due to this, he will wind up the SEC QB commits and slide in at twelve.
This concludes the Incoming SEC Freshman QBs. Next up are the 12 BIG 10 Freshman Quarterbacks.
