Names in the News

–Raymond Cottrell, WR, Milton, Florida (Milton HS), #148 nationally, #24 wide receiver, and #35 in FL

Four-star Milton (FL.) wide receiver Raymond Cottrell flipped to the Texas A&M Aggies from the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday. He was committed to the Bulldogs for over a year, as he had announced he was choosing Georgia in November 2021 before flipping. However, Cottrell said he chose the Aggies because of College Station’s atmosphere and the coaching staff. Ne now adds to an Aggies class ranked No. 12 overall and fifth in the SEC.

Three-star Roswell (GA.) cornerback Ethan Nation committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Tuesday afternoon at the Under Armour All-American Bowl. He chose them over the Auburn Tigers, Colorado Buffaloes, Houston Cougars, and Ohio State Buckeyes. –Ju’Juan Johnson, 2024 ATH, Lafayette, Louisiana (Lafayette Christian Academy HS), #221 nationally, #27 athlete, and #4 in LA

2024 Lafayette (LA.) four-star athlete Ju’Juan Johnson named his top four schools on December 28 and will now get ready to make some visits. His final four schools are the Colorado Buffaloes, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, and LSU Tigers. He has visits set with the Bulldogs, Gators, and Buffaloes for the last three weekends of January, and then he will be in Baton Rouge in February to visit the Tigers. LSU is in the lead to land him, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, with a 94.2% chance. I like the Tigers here too.
