In today’s Fact or Fiction — Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics from the recruiting trail and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.
1. LSU has taken the lead for ATH Jonah Williams.
Farrell’s take: FICTION
LSU impressed the 5-star from Texas this weekend and is up there, but it’s still Oklahoma and Texas for me. Williams is an elite talent on defense and offense (WR) and a major MLB candidate, so there are many factors involved. Oregon, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and others are in play, as well as LSU, but the Tigers still have some work to do.
2. Clemson is the biggest threat to pull 2026 DE Hezekiah Harris out of his home state.
Farrell’s take: FACT
The elite rush end from Alabama likes Alabama and Auburn, but he loved Clemson this weekend, according to sources, and the family and academic sell from Dabo Swinney rang strong. He’s a long way from a decision but Clemson has done well in Alabama before and has an interesting pitch few others have — come here and develop and graduate and know you won’t be passed over by someone out of the portal. I still think Alabama is the team to beat, but Clemson is a threat.

3. FSU is now a major player for OL Tavaris Dice.
Farrell’s take: FACT
Auburn is the leader for the Georgia OL, as Hugh Freeze is making the state a massive priority after things fell off under previous regimes. But Florida State hosted and offered Dice this weekend and impressed him. FSU wants to have a stronger presence in Georgia as well, and he will be recruited heavily. Miami and Mizzou are next up, and Arkansas will get a visit soon, but he’ll likely be back at Auburn in March as well.
