Recruiting Round-Up 8/10-8/11/22  Louisville is building a strong class

In today's edition of recruiting round-up we take a look at the class Scott Satterfield is building at Louisville. Currently, the Cardinals have a class rated 18th by the 247sports composite, however, what is more, impressive is the positive blue-chip rate. That is not a normal occurrence for Lousiville over the years. Louisville is trending for a possible top-15 class led by five-star RB Rueben Owens.

Four-Star OT Miles McVay Commits to Alabama

Alabama has been on fire on the trail lately, and Miles McVay from St Louis, Missouri is a big get! The big man checks in at 6-foot 6-inches and 358 pounds. His size led  247sports to compare him to Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown. He has good technique, but will likely need to redefine his body in order to play for the Tide. Has a naturally strong base, and does great against both bull and speed rushes. Has a chance to develop into a draft pick down the line.

Four-Star QB Rickie Collins Commits to LSU

Originally committed to Purdue, the Louisiana native couldn't help himself when he got the chance to stay home. He checks in at 6-foot 2-inches and 190 pounds. Very athletic QB, but also needs plenty of coaching to redefine, certainly a project profile player. Currently is more of an athlete, than a strong passer. However, he has a whip of an arm that if developed could have super star potential. Multiple years of development before play is expected

Four-Star LB Jaden Robinson Commits to Florida

Jaden Robinson checks in at 6-foot 1-inches and 225 pounds. Played mostly safety in high school, so he has solid coverage skills for a linebacker. Hard hitter, and has great instincts. May need to take a year to develop with the transition. Needs to work on taking better angles, but is very instinctual and has tremendous speed! Robinson was originally committed to South Carolina, so a bit of a double victory here for the Gators who have been doing work recently on the trail

Four-Star RB Cedric Baxter Jr. Commits to Texas

Baxter checks in at 6-foot 1-inch and 215 pounds. He has the size to potentially see carries as a true freshman and is a workhorse back who is projected to play on Sundays as well. Baxter is a tough tackle and rarely goes down on early contact. Does not do a lot of dancing, picks a hole, and attacks. Battering ram, but has good enough speed, can hit the edge, and is gone in the open field. Will need to develop as a pass catcher. Baxter is likely going to be a five-star before the end of the cycle. Sarkisian and company are executing well on the recruiting trail.

Four-Star WR William Fowles Commits to Louisville

The Cardinals have been doing some work on the trial, and now pair another blue-chip WR with Deandre Moore. Fowles is a big body wideout measuring in at 6-foot 2-inches and 190 pounds. Was extremely productive a season ago, catching 19 touchdowns on 47 catches, and for over 1100 yards. Will be a good red zone target, great strength at the point of catch, and 1st team all 5A according to the Miami Herald. Should be able to push for immediate playing time in Louisville.
