In Baltimore there is a battle on the gridiron like no other in high school football. On Thanksgiving Day, the Calvert Hall Cardinals face off against the Loyola Blakefield Dons in what is known as the Turkey Bowl.
This matchup is the oldest and longest-running rivalry in Catholic prep football anywhere in America. Calvert Hall is led by Oliver Noll, a 2027 three-star quarterback prospect.

At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Noll led the Cardinals into the 2024 Turkey Bowl against Loyola Blakefield. It was the 104th meeting between the two schools, a game that has been played every year since 1920.

Noll scored on a quarterback run to put the Cardinals on the board at 14-7. Calvert Hall later tied the game at 14-14. Loyola answered with a field goal to take a slim 17-14 lead going into the fourth quarter.
As Noll drove his team downfield for the go-ahead score, an opportunistic Dons defense intercepted Noll to kill the advancing Cardinals offense and secure victory for Loyola. It was another win in the celebrated series for the Dons, who lead with a 52-44-8 record all-time. Calvert Hall finished the 2024 season with a 7-5 record.
