Ify Obidegwu – CB

Baltimore, MD (St. Frances Academy)

Defensive back prospect with good speed and very good play recognition. He identifies where the offense is attacking and positions himself to make plays on the ball. Positions himself well, gets his body in between the QB and the WR so he can get his hands on the ball for pass break ups and interception. Good hands and is able to bring in the ball through contact. Very good in man coverage, presses well off the line and gets the WR off their route. He has a good, fluid backpedal to keep good position on the WR. Good in zone coverage, keeps his eyes towards the QB and breaks on the ball when its released. He is a solid willing tackler; he can make open field tackles on players in space. He has a knack for punching the ball out.

Needs to work on his tackling technique and improve on his strength at the next level as he continues his development. He will be an immediate contributor on special teams should start as gunner immediately and contribute to an effective special team’s unit. well to the physical style of the Big 10. Should work his way into the rotation quickly and develop into a reliable corner with college coaching and training.

Gabriel Williams – Edge

Laurel, MD (St. Vincent Pallotti)

3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE prospect with good speed and instincts. He has very good play recognition and positions himself well to make plays on the ball. Aggressive when blitzing off the edge. He is good at shedding blocks and is able to get his hands up when he’s not going to get to the QB. Good tackler that will consistently get the ball carrier to the ground and punches at the ball to poke the ball free. Has solid hands and can bring in interceptions when in the right position. He is good in zone coverage, keeps his eyes on the QB and breaks to the ball in his zone. Uses his good athleticism to run down QBs when they decide to scramble. Solid in man coverage, can reliably cover TEs and RBs out of the backfield while positioning himself well and getting his eyes back to the QB.

Needs to improve on his pursuit angles, takes bad angles and relies on his athleticism to run down the ball carrier. He is a versatile player that has played both corner and safety at the high school level showing that he can play all over the defense. Good prospect who's skillset translates better to a 3-4 defense that allows him to use his flexibility to provide support all over the field. Should work his way into the rotation quickly and develop into a reliable OLB with college coaching and training.

Versatile player that has played WR, DB, and special teams at the high school level. Very good speed and a high motor. Good body control, adjusts well to the ball in the air and has the courage to make contested catches in the middle of the field. Very good yards after catch ability, makes guys miss in the open field and has solid strength to run through the defender. Good instincts and reads the play well to put himself in position to make plays. Solid in man coverage he can stay with WR, gets good position to make plays on the ball, and is able to get his eyes back to the ball when thrown. Good in zone coverage he covers his area well has a good break on the ball and gets his hands on the ball. He takes good pursuit angles when making plays on the ball carrier.

Adequate tackler in the open field, needs to work on consistently wrapping up to be reliable at the next level. Marginal block shed ability. He will be an immediate contributor on special teams as a returner or gunner. Good prospect who's skillset translates well to any scheme. Should work his way into the rotation quickly and develop into a reliable DB or WR with college coaching and training.

Dylan Stewart – Edge

Washington, DC (Friendship Collegiate Academy)

3-4 OLB or 4-3 DE prospect with good speed and athleticism. Very good play recognition, he sees where the play is going and is able to run down the ball carrier from behind when the play is run away from him. Very good block shed, lineman struggle to get him off his spot. Very good strength to generate separation from the OL and disengage. He has good instincts to read oncoming pull blocks and gets low under the block to disrupt the lineman’s momentum. Aggressive off the edge, has very good awareness and gets his hands into the passing lane to disrupt passes. Good at setting the edge and has good understanding of how to defend the Option Run/RPO as the unblocked DE. Very good tackler who can routinely make tackles in the open field and behind the LOS. 

Better when standing up in a 2-point stance where he can see into the backfield and read compared to a 3-point stance. Very good prospect his skillset translates better to a 3-4 defense that allows him to use his flexibility to provide support all over the field. He would fit well into the physical play style of the Big 10. With college coaching and training he should work his way into the rotation immediately and develop into a reliable every down player.
