A prominent fixture in a backfield that gained more than 4,000 yards rushing and 60 touchdowns last season, Celina (Texas) Bobcats running back Logan Gutierrez is looking to have a dominating season in 2025 with one goal in mind: to bring the Texas 4A State Championship back to the roughly 43,000 passionate fans of Celina.
No. 3 in the game program and No. 1 in the hearts of Bobcats fans, Gutierrez helped lead Celina (16-0) to the Texas 4A-Division 1 State Championship last season, their ninth in school history.
Gutierrez rushed for more than 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns and led a Celina rushing attack that averaged 299 yards per game. Being the ultimate team player, Gutierrez credits his offensive line for his success.
In addition, he credits his father for his development into one of the best running backs in the state of Texas going into his senior season.
In the 2024 playoffs, Gutierrez rushed for 238 yards and three TDs in a 63-49 win over Aubrey. Against Alvarado, Gutierrez scored two rushing touchdowns. In the Kennedale game, he rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown.

In the fall, Celina will set their sights on a 10th state championship and Gutierrez will be a big contributor in that effort.
Gutierrez will continue to build on his stellar high school career and his stock should rise in the recruiting rankings in the coming months.
