In 2024, the Schoolcraft Eagles won a Regional Championship, earned a Michigan state semifinal appearance and posted an 11-2 record. They were led by 2026 Edge/LB Brody Epple.
At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, Epple made his presence felt in all 13 games last season. Epple made 83 stops, 21 TFLs, 14 sacks and two forced fumbles. Epple is versatile and has played Edge, TE, LB, HB and wideout in high school. However, he projects as an edge rusher in college. Epple possesses the talent to play at the FCS or Division II level. He is quick off the edge and showed relentless pursuit last season.
Three days per week, Epple conditions and lifts with his teammates at school. In addition, he attends private training sessions to become faster, more agile and stronger.
But his biggest gains have been the result of Epple’s hard work, sweat and tears in the basement of the Epple household. It is outfitted with all the weight equipment a football player needs. Epple has toiled under the guidance of his father, John. John played college football at Western Michigan. Epple gained 50 pounds of muscle over the past two seasons.
Epple has gained interest from several schools. He displayed his elite defensive skills in front of collegiate coaching staffs at summer camps at D-II schools such as national champion Ferris State, Michigan Tech University and Northwood University. In addition, Epple attended camps at Northern Michigan, Davenport University, Saginaw Valley State and Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA).
