At 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, 2026 offensive lineman Hunter McKinney is one of the top prospects in the recruiting hotbed of Texas.

A leader on the field for Lake Creek High School in Montgomery, Texas, McKinney is a versatile player who can play multiple positions along the offensive line. His football pedigree comes from being the son of a pro.

McKinney’s father, Steve, played for RC Slocum at Texas A&M and was named second-team All-Big 12 in 1997 and was named to the All-Rookie Team in 1998 by the Pro Football Writers of America as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Steve played 11 years in the NFL.
