The Valley View High Blazers of Jonesboro, Arkansas, are coming off a 12-1 record, a season that included a perfect 10-0 run to win the 5A Conference title.

Over the past two seasons, Valley View has posted a 22-3 record. This season, the Blazers welcome back one of their most athletic and versatile players, 2027 RB/DB Carter Wallace.

At 6-foot, 204 pounds, Wallace is the iron man of Jonesboro, playing both offense and defense for the Blazers. When Valley View had the ball, Wallace rushed for 466 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 6.3 yards per rush.

His athleticism extends beyond the football field. He ranks as the No. 1 sophomore, No. 2 in 5A, and No. 5 overall in Arkansas in the 60 meters. Wallace qualified for the state track meet in the 100 meters, 200 meters, the 4X100 and 4X400-meter relays.

Last season vs. Batesville, Wallace rushed for a season-high 161 yards and a score. In the Arkansas High game, Wallace ran for 120 yards and two TDs. He posted three games with multiple rushing touchdowns.

On defense, Wallace posted a season-high nine tackles against Searcy. Against Paragould, Wallace posted four tackles and returned an INT for a touchdown. Wallace is a playmaker wherever he lines up on the field.

For his efforts, Wallace earned 5A-East All-Conference honors.

Schools that have taken an interest in Wallace as he heads into his junior season include: Arkansas, Purdue, SMU, Army, Arkansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Appalachian State, and Air Force.

Over the next two seasons, that number can surely increase as more college coaches show up to watch Wallace showcase his athleticism and versatility.

The Godfather of Recruiting, Mike Farrell, said this about Wallace,

“2027 verified 3-star RB/DB Carter Wallace has speed, good size and he is physical. Checks all the boxes. Track kid too.”
