The Basics

Trevor Duncan is a 6-5.5, 277-pound offensive/defensive lineman from Knoxville, Tennessee. He plays for state powerhouse Knoxville Catholic High School on one of the most talent-rich rosters in Tennessee. He is rated as a consensus three-star according to 247 sports. Via 247, he is the 12th-ranked player in Tennessee and the 30th-ranked athlete nationally. Before committing to the Vols, Duncan had six reported offers from Tennessee, Purdue, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky.

Roster outlook for 2023-2024

Players expected to return for the 23-24 season along the Vols offensive line include projected starters like Cooper Mays, Javontez Spraggins, and Dayne Davis who will all be seniors. Underclassmen Addison Nichols will be expected to be a starter by then as well. They will also have Mo Clipper, Brian Grant and Masai Reddick coming into the program this offseason. Tennessee is also bringing in one other OT in the class of 2023, Ayden Bussell. They will likely look to add a couple more in this recruiting cycle as well.

Opportunities for playing time

Trevor Duncan is expected to be a depth piece in the two-deep his first year or two on campus. It’s no secret that offensive line typically takes some time to learn at the D1 level, especially in the SEC. As a high three to low four star, I’d expect him to develop into a starter by the time he’s a junior. He also could be an option along the defensive line depending on the teams’ future needs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
