Wide receiver transfer RaRa Thomas has received some of the most interest since entering the transfer portal earlier today. Several premier SEC schools have checked in on the Mississippi State transfer and plan to push for the wideout significantly. With the teams in pursuit residing in the Southeastern Conference, the expectation is for Thomas to end up at an SEC school.

Thomas went to high school at Eufaula High School in Alabama, and Auburn is a team expected to make a significant push. The wideout transfer has lined up a visit to Auburn on December 10th. Coming home seems to be the best part of the pitch for Hugh Freeze and the new Auburn staff.

A school that is starting to make a major push for Thomas is Tennessee. Their interest was piqued as soon as he entered the portal. With Cedric Tillman and Jalin Hyatt likely leaving, there could be an open spot for a portal receiver in the Vols’ prolific offense. He is scheduled to visit Knoxville on December 17-18th.

The school with all the momentum, however, is the Georgia Bulldogs. He has past connections to Georgia staffer Mike Bobo that could be very beneficial for the Bulldogs. Bobo recruited him to South Carolina, where he was committed before flipping to Mississippi State. He plans on visiting Athens on December 11-12th.

Ole Miss is another school pushing to land the transfer, and Thomas is in the works of setting up a visit. Expect the Rebels to be heavily involved here as well.

All indications are that Georgia has a big early lead. Still, visits to Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Auburn will be worth watching as visits will be critical for the talented playmaker.
