Scouting Report

Standing at 6-0 185 pounds, Ty Hawkins has a below-average build for the QB position. Hawkins is not afraid to throw the ball deep and stands tall in the pocket while taking hits. He works through his progressions nicely and displays solid pocket presence. A dual-threat QB and a strong sturdy runner, he can escape the pocket for huge gains as he has decent speed. He can throw 50/50 balls with accuracy and trusts his receivers in tight coverage. His accuracy can vary on throws past 25 yards. Throwing on the run seems easy as footwork is decent. He has a high football IQ and understands defense to a decent extent. Overall a solid prospect who should focus on accuracy, footwork, and mechanics.
