Scouting Report

Very good height at 6’7, 310 pounds. Prototypical size for a tackle. This multi-sport athlete has very good athletic ability for his size. Jacobs is a well-rounded athlete that has very good speed, lateral quickness, balance and footwork. He has good play strength that allows him to thrive in the run game. Very good at gap blocking due to being very quick and explosive off the line. Good strength at point of contact and very good leg drive. Very good competitive toughness as he blocks until the whistle and shows a high motor. Athleticism allows him to quickly gain leverage on defenders, get to second level, and block in open space. Good in pass pro. Solid, but inconsistent at getting to set points. Recovers with his quickness and strength. Can be inconsistent against rushers with a variety of pass rushing moves. Solid hand technique. Plays with solid knee bend for his size. Jacobs understands leverage and will sustain blocks once engaged with the defender. He has work to do with getting to his set points and technique in pass pro. As well as pad height consistency. I believe he can start at a power 4 school for multiple years and has draft potential
