Scouting Report

Versatile offensive line prospect who projects to play on the interior at Guard or Center, who can also offer reps at Tackle. Has good height and size for an interior lineman with good strength, lateral movement, and foot speed for his size. Operates best when he can drive off the ball and engage the block early from Center and Guard positions. Good snap quickness at Center, quickly getting his hands into position to fit the block. Very good Gap blocker with good explosion into his blocks with good pad level and hand placement to gain leverage and drive the defender out of the gap. Good puller, displaying solid lateral movement, and good pad level and explosion into the kick out block. Good Zone blocker, with good lateral movement and speed to Reach block a defender with good sustain while on the move. Good finish on run blocking, often driving players to the ground. Solid pass protection, with solid initial set points and mirror. Adequate ability to counter pass rush moves and refit his feet and hands, causing him to turn his shoulders and open potential rushing lanes for a delayed blitz. Solid anchor and ability to prevent walk back. Overall, a very good prospect who offers starting flexibility at Guard and Center at a Power-5 school. Can be a starting tackle at a Group-5 school. Will need to improve his pass protection to be considered at tackle for Power-5, but can be moved to tackle from his interior position during a game if needed due to injury and you can win with him there.
