Scouting Report
Elite size at 6’8, 290 pounds. Dunn is a multisport athlete. He has very good, natural athletic ability for his size. Very good speed, balance, agility, and footwork allows him to be a very good blocker in space. Good play strength is better displayed in the run game. Very good explosion off the line. Good at gap blocking, even though he was in a zone scheme. Very good zone blocker. Patient and aware but will quickly get to his zone/man. Was frequently used as a pull blocker. Very good competitive toughness as he shows a high motor and good leg drive until the whistle. Very good hand placement. Very good at getting to second and third levels to block. Dunn is very good at getting to his set points. His athleticism allows him to get to his set points quickly while maintaining good leverage on defenders. He patiently reads oncoming defenders and is very good at utilizing his hands and length to disrupt pass rushers’ hands and balance. Solid and inconsistent knee bend. His pad height did not hurt much in the run game, although is sometimes an issue during pass pro as he will be pushed back into the quarterback’s lap. Aaron Dunn has prototypical size and athleticism. With some time in a Division 1 strength program, he can certainly be a multiyear starter at a Power 4 school as well as a future draft pick.
