Scouting Report

Marcus has good height and solid weight, with long legs and a lean build. He has good Athletic Ability with very good Change of Direction and Lateral Agility, good Acceleration, and solid Speed and Balance. He is a good Outside Runner, showing good Patience and Burst following his blocks to extend the play to the sideline or make a cut inside. He has solid Burst on Inside Runs but lacks the patience to allow blocks to develop allowing defenders to contact him.

He has solid Balance and Strength allowing him to fight through arm tackles that do not wrap him up. His very good change of direction and agility allow him to find extra yardage without losing speed, but this can get him in trouble as he will try to make more out of a play rather than taking the yards given to him at the second level. He has solid breakaway speed against DBs with good ball-carrying Vision and Processing that allows him to make cuts and find rushing lanes to gain extra yards. Overall, a solid prospect with rotational back upside in year three.

Grade: 85/100
