As draft season rapidly approaches, I will give my 10 favorite players for each position. Let’s move on to the RBs.

  • Quarterbacks

1. Trey Benson, Florida State

 — I love his ability to impact the passing game as well and he’s an amazing round two value.

Nov 5, 2022; Miami Gardens, Florida, USA; Florida State Seminoles running back Trey Benson (3) runs with the football ahead of Miami Hurricanes safety James Williams (0) during the third quarter at Hard Rock Stadium.

2. Jonathon Brooks, Texas

— The injury is a concern but the talent level isn’t. He can be elite.

Texas Longhorns running back Jonathon Brooks (24) runs the ball forward during the Texas Longhorns' game against the Wyoming Cowboys, Saturday, Sept. 16 at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.

3. Audric Estime, Notre Dame

— His 40 time wasn’t great at the combine but improved at his pro day. He’s a bowling ball and will be a tough inside runner.

4. Marshawn Lloyd, USC

— He’s being overlooked a bit by some and overrated by others. He’s solid.

Sep 23, 2023; Tempe, Arizona, USA; USC Trojans running back MarShawn Lloyd (0) runs against the Arizona State Sun Devils during the first half at Mountain America Stadium, Home of the ASU Sun Devils.

5. Braelon Allen, Wisconsin

— He’s not a burner, but he’s a beast and could be AJ Dillon at the next level which isn’t bad.

Dec 27, 2022; Phoenix, Arizona, USA; Wisconsin Badgers running back Braelon Allen (0) runs the ball for a touchdown against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the second half of the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bowl at Chase Field.

6. Ray Davis, Kentucky

— He has great vision but lacks the burst. He will be solid overall.

Kentucky's Ray Davis ran past Florida's Jason Marshall Jr. for the long touchdown Saturday afternoon. Sept. 30, 2023

7. Jaylen Wright, Tennessee

— I want to like him better because he has some speed but sometimes he tries to do too much.

Nov 25, 2023; Knoxville, Tennessee, USA; Tennessee Volunteers running back Jaylen Wright (0) runs the ball against the Vanderbilt Commodores during the first half at Neyland Stadium

8. Bucky Irving, Oregon

— A solid back who won’t wow you and could be a rotation guy.

Oct 29, 2022; Berkeley, California, USA; Oregon wide receiver Kris Hutson (1) defends as running back Bucky Irving (0) runs the ball against The California Golden Bears during the second quarter at FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium.

9. Blake Corum, Michigan

– A great college back but not fast enough to be elite in the NFL.

Michigan running back Blake Corum runs the ball in for a touchdown during fourth quarter at the College Football Playoff national championship game against Washington at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Monday, Jan.8, 2024.

10. Kendall Milton, Georgia

— A big kid with a nose for the end zone he could be a red zone specialist.

Georgia running back Kendall Milton (2) break away for a 51-yard gain during the second half of a NCAA college football game against Ole Miss in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023. Georgia won 52-17.
