Boston College

Jerand Bradley (In), Shitta Sillah (Out)

A big play 6’5 receiver, Jerand Bradley was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2022 for Texas Tech when he led the Red Raiders with 51 catches, 744 yards, and six touchdowns. He regressed last year to 36 catches, 431 yards, and four scores but the talent is still there.

Boston College has had few departing transfers, although that number is expected to rise in the spring window after HC Jeff Hefley left. Shitta Sillah was a rotational player and occasional starter for the Eagles over the past five years. He has taken his 80 career tackles and 6.5 sacks to Purdue.

California

Victor Stoffel (In), Kaleb Elarms-Orr (Out)

With multiple departing linemen, grabbing the 6’7 295 pound tackle from Temple is huge. Victor Stoffel has 20 career starts and only gave up two sacks over the past two seasons, being named an All-AAC Honorable Mention last year. He chose the Bears over Texas A&M and UCF.

Breaking out as Cal’s leading tackler last year, Kaleb Elarms-Orr is a tough loss. The sophomore LB had 92 tackles and 3.5 for loss with five deflections, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He was named to the All-Pac 12 Second team and will play for TCU next year.

Clemson

N/A (In), Andrew Mukuba (Out)

Dabo Swinney‘s reluctance to use the portal continued as he brought zero players from the portal.

A three-year starter, Andrew Mukuba, came in and immediately became a star for Clemson. He was the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and a 3rd-team All-ACC player. The versatile safety was an All ACC Honorable Mention in 2022 & 2023 before choosing to go back home, committing to Texas.

Duke

Maalik Murphy (In), Riley Leonard (Out)

The 6’5 238 pound QB has a lot of potential and looked solid in mop-up duty and two starts, both wins. Maalik Murphy will have three years of eligibility and should immediately start for first-year coach Manny Diaz.

Riley Leonard was a tremendous player over the last two years and was a key part of the program’s resurgence. After he got injured, Duke’s offense had a noticeable drop-off. Leonard will go to Notre Dame, who beat the Blue Devils in a close 21-14 game last fall.

It’s too early to tell if Duke upgraded, but Murphy’s three years of eligibility vs just one for Leonard may be the difference.

Florida State

DJ Uiagalelei (In), Bless Harris (Out)

When Jordan Travis went down, Florida State’s offense shut down. Backups Tate Rodemaker and AJ Duffy have entered the portal, giving Florida State even more of a need at QB. DJ Uiagalelei has three years of starting experience and should make an impact for the Noles.

Florida State didn’t have many losses, but T Bless Harris is one of them. He started five games for Florida State last year and would have competed for a full-time starting spot this year. Harris will play for TCU next season.

Georgia Tech

Keylan Rutledge (In), Kyle Kennard (Out)

Transferring from Middle Tennessee State, Keylan Rutledge started 11 games on the offensive line for the Blue Raiders last year. He earned First-Team All-CUSA honors last year and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Kyle Kennard was with Georgia Tech for four years, breaking out with 54 tackles, 11 for loss, and six sacks. He will play his senior year with South Carolina.

OL Keylan Rutledge enters the transfer portal

Keylan averaged 50 snaps per game in 2022 & was graded a winner 9 times. He was voted a permanent team captain in 2023. He was also part of the 2022 CUSA all-freshman team.

Someone’s getting a big man in the trenches. Best of luck… https://t.co/737ogocVl1

Louisville

Peny Boone (In), Kevin Coleman (Out)

2023 MAC Offensive Player of the Year Peny Boone will be heading to The Ville’ as one of the biggest RB Portal pickups in the country. Boone rushed for 1,400 yards and 15 touchdowns, with an additional 219 yards and a receiving touchdown for an 11-3 Toledo team.

After just transferring in from Jackson State last year, Kevin Coleman is already departing, going to Mississippi State. He was Louisville’s WR3 in most categories, finishing with 26 catches, 362 yards, and two touchdowns, with two more seasons of eligibility.

Miami

Cameron Ward (In), Colbie Young (Out)

After throwing for 3,736 yards and 25 touchdowns with eight more scores on the ground, Cameron Ward is headed to Coral Gables. Ward has four years of starting experience, two years at Washington State and two more at FCS Incarnate Word. Ward considered the NFL Draft before choosing the Hurricanes.

A very talented but overshadowed receiver, Colbie Young caught 47 passes for 563 yards and five touchdowns. Young was behind Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George, who are both back next season. The former JuCo prospect is instead headed to Georgia.

North Carolina

Max Johnson (In), Diego Pounds (Out)

Veteran QB Max Johnson is expected to start after Drake Maye declared for the NFL Draft. Johnson was a backup in 2022 and 2023 at Texas A&M but threw for 2,815 yards and 27 touchdowns with six interceptions in 2021 at LSU.

Diego Pounds started eight games at left tackle and had two more seasons of eligibility. He will play for Ole Miss next year.

North Carolina State

Grayson McCall (In), Jakeen Harris (Out)

Dave Doeren has brought in a great transfer class, and Grayson McCall is the star of the show. The three-time Sun Belt Player of the Year set the record for the most efficient QB season in 2021, although he was just passed by Jayden Daniels last year. After quarterback questions, notably MJ Morris stopping midseason to preserve a redshirt, the Wolfpack’s QB position is solved.

NC State doesn’t have many big portal losses, but S Jakeen Harris and his experience (22 starts and 48 games) is one of them. Worse, he transferred to in-state rival North Carolina. He suffered a season-ending Torn Pec in week one but should be recovered for next season.

Coastal Carolina QB Grayson McCall has completed his season and officially broken the record for the single highest passing efficiency season for an FBS QB of all time. His final mark of 207.7 breaks Mac Jones' 2020 record of 203.1. Here's how he compares to the top 25. pic.twitter.com/7dojNXa5yu

Pittsburgh

Keye Thompson (In), Samuel Okunlola (Out)

Veteran LB Keye Thompson brings his nose for the ball and a lot of experience to Pittsburgh. Going into his seventh year, Thompson has played in 45 games and started 32. He was second on Ohio with 94 tackles, earning First-Team All-MAC honors in the process

In eleven games with two starts, Samuel Okunlola was tied for the most sacks with five and made 18 tackles. With three years of eligibility remaining, Okunlola will play for Deion Sanders and Colorado next year.

SMU

Deuce Harmon (In), Daemian Wimberly (Out)

Deuce Harmon was an occasional starter for Texas A&M, starting 11 games at CB over three seasons. He’s recorded two interceptions, broke up ten passes, and made forty-six tackles with the Aggies.

SMU had few departing transfers, but DL Daemian Wimberly was one of them. He only played in one game but was a true freshman with nine power-five offers. Wimberly will play for Jeff Traylor and UTSA next season.

Stanford

Jahsiah Galvan (In), Benjamin Yurosek (Out)

Stanford only brought in two transfers, and the Northern Iowa LB is one of them. Jahsiah Galvan led the Panthers with 77 tackles in his Redshirt Freshman year. Galvan was committed to Wisconsin before Troy Taylor and his staff flipped him.

Benjamin Yurosek only played in six games, but that was enough to be named an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, his third team receiving All-Pac-12 honors. With 29 starts and 1,342 receiving yards, the Tight End and his veteran presence will be missed as he transfers to Georgia next year.

Syracuse

Kyle McCord (In), Leon Lowery (Out)

One of first-year HC Fran Brown‘s first of transfer/recruiting moves was getting the former Ohio State starting QB. Kyle McCord threw for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns in his only season starting before essentially being run out of town.

Leon Lowery Jr. started 12 games at LB last year before transferring to Wisconsin. Lowery recorded 46 tackles, 7.5 for loss, and 3.5 sacks. He has two more years of eligibility.

Virginia

Tyler Neville (In), Langston Long (Out)

A two-time All-Ivy League Tight End, Tyler Neville proved himself at Harvard and will get a chance with Virginia. In thirty games, he caught 62 passes for 698 yards and eight touchdowns. Neville chose the Cavaliers over eight other Power-4 offers.

Langston Long was a week one starter for Virginia in 2023 but suffered a season-ending injury in week two. In eight games with six starts in 2022, Long had 44 tackles and a forced fumble. He transferred to USF with two years of eligibility.

Virginia Tech

Sam Brumfield (In), Dae’quan Wright (Out)

The former Middle Tennessee State LB is fills a need and will battle for a starting spot when the Hokies kick off in the fall. Sam Brumfield was the Blue Raiders leader in tackles, sacks, and forced fumbles and made the 2023 All-CUSA second team.

After starting seven games as a sophomore, Dae’Quan Wright entered the portal. He had 28 Receptions for 366 yards and will play for Ole Miss next year.

Senior director of player personnel Mike Villagrana said the #Hokies staff had a meeting about all of the transfer portal players they liked. MTSU LB Sam Brumfield was No. 1. Brent Pry said, "Go get him," and Virginia Tech did.

Wake Forest

Capone Blue (In), Jahmal Banks (Out)

Capone Blue is a veteran CB with great size (6’3, 177) and lots of experience. He’s played in 32 games since signing with Kent State in 2018, starting in 12.

Starting over the last two seasons, Jahmal Banks caught 101 passes for 1,289 yards and 13 touchdowns over the last two years. He led the Demon Deacons in receptions, yards, and touchdowns last season. The 6’4 wideout transferred to Nebraska for his final year of eligibility.
