Chaos and bedlam continue to rage in the transfer portal as teams battle it out to improve their roster depth ahead of spring practice in a few months. Here is a look at the latest commitments.

QB Will Howard

Ohio State Buckeyes (from Kansas State)

6’5”, 242 lbs.

A former Big XII champion quarterback, Will Howard has moved on to Columbus seeking a shot at a national title, and will easily be the grown up in the Buckeyes quarterback room. At Kansas State in 2023, Howard passed for 2,643 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 INTs. In addition, he added 351 rushing yards and nine more scores.

Howard posted five games with three or more passing touchdowns, and accounted for five total touchdowns in a 42-13 win over Troy.

For his career, Howard passed for 5,781 yards, 48 touchdowns, and 25 INTs. In addition, he rushed for 921 yards and 19 scores, so he can extend plays with his legs. With the inexperienced Devin Brown as competition on the depth chart, along with incoming true freshman Air Noland, look for Howard to be penciled as the starter, for now.
