Portal Fact or Fiction: Xavier Guillory to ASU, Devin Leary's Destination, Michigan's Pull

In today’s Fact or Fiction — transfer portal edition — I look at three big recent topics from the transfer portal and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

1. WR Xavier Guillory will pick Arizona State.

Farrell’s take: FACT

Guillory is a dynamic WR prospect from Idaho State. And guess who the new Assistant Head Coach for the Sun Devils is? His former head coach Charlie Ragle. Guillory was just in Tempe this past weekend and will make his choice. He’s from Washington and visited WSU as well but I expect ASU to win this one.

2. Devin Leary chooses Auburn.

Farrell’s take: FACT

This is a hunch and a guess. The former NC State QB is looking for life changing money in an NIL deal and Kentucky has a great offer on the board. But Leary is Hugh Freeze’s top priority at QB and Auburn can flex more muscle in the NIL world than the Wildcats. If they really want Leary I think they can get him.

3. Michigan is winning the portal battle.

Farrell’s take: FACT

The Wolverines are adding key ingredients for another run at the Big Ten and are doing it in the trenches. LaDarius Henderson, Myles Hinton and Drake Nugent are a great trio of OL and DE Josaiah Stewart has proven he’s one of the best in the country already. Jim Harbaugh wins with physical football and he’s setting himself up for next season nicely.
