Farrell's Top 10 Most Important WR Commits for 2024
2024 recruiting is wrapped up. I'm rolling through the most important commits at every position. Here are the most important WR signings this cycle, in my humble opinion. You can find other positions here:
1. Micah Hudson to Texas Tech
— The Red Raiders are struggling on the field but landing a 5-star in-state WR has the fan base excited. Joey McGuire's Texas HS ties are already paying huge dividends for the third-year headman in Lubbock.
2. Cam Coleman to Auburn
— To keep the 5-star WR in state after an early commitment elsewhere was a huge deal and a great job by Hugh Freeze and company.
3. Mike Matthews to Tennessee
— The offense is attractive, and it shows as Matthews is a major pull from Georgia for Josh Heupel.
4. Ryan Wingo to Texas
— The Longhorns are on a roll in recruiting, and this is a muscle flex going into Missouri to land this elite WR.

5. Bryant Wesco to Clemson
— Clemson needs to get back to landing and developing elite WRs, and Wesco is a good start and more impressive as he’s from Texas.
6. Jeremiah Smith to Ohio State
— I know the Buckeyes get elite receivers all the time these days, but I’m not going to ignore the best WR in the country from South Florida choosing to head to Columbus.
7. Ryan Williams to Alabama
— With a new staff, commitments like this are even more important than ever for in-state kids. They did a great job reeling him back in.
8. Joshisa Trader to Miami
— A massive get from South Florida at a school the ‘Canes must have success at. They are in much better shape at Chaminade-Madonna, with Kevin Beard working his magic.
9. Courtney Crutchfield to Missouri
— They didn’t land Wingo, but Crutchfield is elite and has a chance to be even better in the right situation.
10. Drelon Miller to Colorado
— Coach Prime didn’t focus much on high school recruiting, but Miller is a standout and will help right away.
