In Mike Farrell’s Fact or Fiction — Recruiting Edition, he predicts whether Dylan Raiola will land at Nebraska…

In today’s Fact or Fiction — Recruiting Edition — I look at three big recent topics from the recruiting trail and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

1. Dylan Raiola lands at Nebraska.

Farrell’s take: FICTION

He likes Nebraska for sure as his dad played there and it’s more attractive with Matt Rhule now the head coach. But Georgia wants him badly and I don’t think he decommitted from Ohio State to go to a rebuild. NIL will be amazing for him in Lincoln, but winning is also key and I just have a feeling UGA is where he is looking.

Oct 28, 2022; Chandler, AZ, USA; Chandler Wolves quarterback Dylan Raiola (1) makes a pass against the Basha Bears at Austin Field in Chandler on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022.

2. Miami will finish with a top 5 class.

Farrell’s take: FICTION

It will be close but I still have them in the 6-10 range if all finishes the way I think it does. Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State are locks to make my top five so it comes down to Miami, Texas, LSU and Notre Dame and the way things look to fall, I’ll have them No. 6 behind LSU and Texas and ahead of the Irish.

Lakeland’s Cormani McClain puts on the baseball cap after choosing Miami.

3. Malachi Coleman will pick Colorado.

Farrell’s take: FACT

After he decommitted from Nebraska I said it was a FACT he would be back in this Huskers recruiting class when Matt Rhule was hired. But that was before Deion Sanders was hired at Colorado and before the Nebraska ATH visited Boulder. Coleman loved it in the land of Deion and heard all he wanted to hear about how he’d be used on offense. Coach Tim Brewster is selling Kyle Pitts from his days at Florida and it’s going to work.

Lincoln East’s Malachi Coleman catches a touchdown pass during a Sept. 23, 2021, game against Lincoln Southeast at Seacrest Field.
