The state of Virginia has produced some talented high school football players. The latest in that football bloodline is 2026 tight end Brady Owens.

At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Owens is ranked as the No. 1 tight end in Virginia and plays in 6A, the largest classification in the state.

Last season, Owens recorded 41 catches for more than 500 yards and four scores for the Yorktown High School Patriots in Arlington.

When he was not the primary receiver, Owens excelled at blocking. He took defenders out of the play by posting 39 pancake blocks.

That kind of production earned him All-District, All-Region and All-State honors last season.

Owens has received 25 Division I scholarship offers, with official visits scheduled with Florida State, Syracuse, Rutgers and Vanderbilt, with a commitment decision coming in late June.

The Godfather of Recruiting, Mike Farrell, said this about Owens:

“2026 TE Brady Owens is a great and physical blocker, good hands and can stretch the field. Great Size.”
