Pine Lake Prep QB Cameron Gandy is ranked among the top 100 players in North Carolina for the Class of 2027.
At 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, Gandy was the lone returning offensive starter in 2024 from a team that earned a playoff spot the previous season. Gandy passed for 1,550 yards and nine touchdowns in nine games and averaged 172 passing yards per contest.
Against Southlake Christian in Week 1, Gandy passed for a season-high 274 yards. In the Carver game, Gandy tossed three touchdown passes. Against Corvian Community, Gandy threw two touchdown passes.
The young Gandy has already generated interest among college coaches, earning a scholarship offer from New Mexico. Coastal Carolina has expressed interest as well. That list of collegiate suitors should grow over the next two seasons as his quarterback skills improve even more.
This fall, Gandy will take his quarterback skills to Southlake Christian Academy as a transfer.
