Oregon now has a talented weapon on the perimeter, Lane Kiffin lands a former all-conference receiver, and Louisville picks up a 1,300-yard pass-catcher from the transfer portal. Here are the top five WR commitments in this transfer portal cycle.
Matthew Golden (#5)
Texas Longhorns (from Houston)
6’0”, 190 lbs.
As the 3rd leading receiver for the Houston Cougars in 2023, Matthew Golden hauled in 38 passes for 404 yards and six touchdowns. In addition, Golden racked up 321 yards on 20 kick-off returns and two scores.

Golden recorded a season-high nine passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in a 38-7 win over Sam Houston. In 2024, Coach Steve Sarkisian is hoping Golden will have the Midas touch when comes to catching touchdown passes on the Forty Acres.
Caullin Lacy (#4)
Louisville Cardinals (from South Alabama)
5’10”, 190 lbs.
A 1st Team All-Sun Belt selection, Caullin Lacy gained 100-yards receiving in seven straight games, on his way to 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns on 91 catches. His season-high came against UL-Monroe, when he caught seven passes for 156 yards and a touchdown, averaging 22 yards per catch in the game.

For his collegiate career, Lacy has hauled in 217 catches for 2,517 yards, and 13 touchdowns. Lacy is a huge get for Coach Brohm and the Cardinals as he will replace 2023 leading receiver Jamari Thrash, who declared for the NFL Draft.
Antwane “Juice” Wells (#3)
Ole Miss Rebels (from South Carolina)
6’1”, 208 lbs.
In 2023, Juice Wells battled a foot injury that limited his playing time to three games, and only three catches for 37 yards and one touchdown. However, in 2022, Wells earned 1st Team All-SEC honors after catching 68 passes for 928 yards and six touchdowns. In addition, Wells added one rushing touchdown.

In that 2022 season, Wells recorded four games with 100 yards receiving, including a season-high eight catches for 189 yards and a score in a 44-30 loss to Arkansas. Wells should thrive in the Ole Miss offense in 2024.
Isaiah Bond (#2)
Texas Longhorns (from Alabama)
5’10”, 172 lbs.
The 2nd leading receiver for the Crimson Tide last season, Isaiah Bond caught 48 passes for 668 yards and four touchdowns. His season high came against Texas A&M: seven catches for 96 yards and a score in a 26-20 win.

Bond evacuated Title Town after Nick Saban announced his retirement, and will now pair up with Matthew Golden to create a formidable duo on the perimeter for the Longhorns.
