As draft season rapidly approaches, I will give my 10 favorite players for each position. Today, it’s the DTs’ turn.
1. Byron Murphy II, Texas
— Murphy wins with power or speed and is a true pass-rushing threat on the inside.

2. Johnny Newton, Illinois
— Newton has rare athleticism and is elite shooting the gap.
One of my favorite things about Johnny Newton: There were a few games last year that he simply took over.

3. Braden Fiske, Florida State
— His effort is non-stop and he can chase things down others can’t.

4. Ruke Orhorhoro, Clemson
— He’s got great feet, he has an array of moves and he’s well rounded.

5. T’Vondre Sweat, Texas
— He’s massive and will take up blockers and stuff the run.

6. Michael Hall Jr., Ohio State
— He’s athletic and always looks like he should be a superstar, but needs more consistency.
The combo of Michael Hall Jr.’s (#51) quickness, arm length, and hand speed are mighty intriguing. Another potential top 100 pick in this IDL class. (Also plays his butt off.) pic.twitter.com/Nxhz8h8efz

7. Leonard Taylor III, Miami
— Taylor III is an amazing athlete who can flash and make big plays but can also take some off.

8. McKinnley Jackson, Texas A&M
— Jackson won’t wow you with anything, but he’s solid in all capacities.

9. Kris Jenkins, Michigan
— Jenkins has a massive upside, but he hasn’t put it all together yet.

10. DeWayne Carter, Duke
— A mid-round sleeper? He could be vastly underrated.
