As draft season rapidly approaches, I continue to give my 10 favorite players for each position. Today, it’s the linebackers’ turn.
- Quarterbacks
- Running Backs
- Wide Receivers
- Tight Ends
- Offensive Tackles
- Interior Offensive Linemen
- Defensive Linemen
- Edge Rushers
1. Payton Wilson, NC State
— It’s not a strong LB class but I love this kid as a late round-one steal.
Payton Wilson 2023 Stat line 138 tackles, 6 sacks, and 3 interceptions. High motor, instincts, Closing speed to the ball carrier, and a game wrecker. Will be one of my highest graded defensive prospects. Has the “It Factor” pic.twitter.com/zLFqz5PTdU

2. Junior Colson, Michigan
— He can thump, cover, and covers more ground than anyone on this list.

3. Cedric Gray, North Carolina
— A great athlete who has a high ceiling but hasn’t put it all together.

4. Trevin Wallace, Kentucky
— The best athlete in this group, he could be an absolute steal.

5. Jaylan Ford, Texas
— A solid tackler who can cover space.

6. Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M
— I like how aggressive and physical he can be.
Edgerrin Cooper with great discipline to diagnose the quarterback option and kill the play.

7. Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Clemson
— He’s not long but he takes great angles and has the bloodlines.

8. Tommy Eichenberg, Ohio State
— Could be a solid steal and a sneaky 10-year NFL player. He is what he is though, ceiling is limited.
Tommy Eichenberg's athleticism often goes unnoticed by traditional metrics, yet his in-game athleticism reveals impressive traits, such as remarkable closing speed in open space.#ReelSpeed pic.twitter.com/xkzZUI5Mcw

9. Edefuan Ulofoshio, Washington
— A solid get on day two in round three for some team.

10. Darius Muasau, UCLA
— Not a well-known name but has a chance to be an immediate depth guy.
